Misting Nozzle

Size
Material

Anti drip high pressure misting nozzles with stainless steel filter and Viton® seal come in 0.1mm, 0.15mm, and 0.2mm orifice sizes. Viton® seal enables installation by hand with no tools required. Stainless steel filter helps prevent clogs and can be cleaned. Orifice size regulates misting nozzle water capacity and ultimate size of water droplets exiting the nozzle.

For moderate and/or humid climates, orifice in 0.1m to 0.15mm size is recommended. For very dry and hot climates 0.2mm misting nozzles can be used. Orifice comes in ceramic and stainless steel materials.

Stainless steel orifice is more resistant to mild freezing temperatures but has somewhat shorter life. Ceramic orifice has longer life but will crack when exposed to temperatures below freezing point if there is any water left in it. Draining water from misting lines will not remove water from the nozzle, so if you live in areas where temperatures drop below freezing even for short periods, use stainless steel orifice nozzles. If your water has scale causing minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron (defined as "hard water"), consider upgrading to water filter + scale inhibitor to prevent clogged and dripping nozzles caused by scale buildup.
