Water Usage (Max Nozzles):
Our pumps are made for outdoor use but cannot be in direct exposure to rain and sun. If there is a deep patio that provides this basic shelter, then it can be out in the open on the patio. Otherwise, it should be placed in a shelter.
Our customers use fake rocks, outdoor storage bins, and outdoor furniture as pump shelters. The shelter must be ventilated, so if it does not have ventilation openings they need to be created. Fake rocks are the easiest to use as they blend with exterior and are made of soft material that is easy to cut and create ventilation openings.
To make sure there is sufficient ventilation, make 4-6 2inch cutouts from each of the 4 sides and drill a drainage hole in the bottom (this is only for storage bin, fake rocks have no bottom) so any water that gets in can drain and not submerge the unit in water.
Our misting system can achieve up to 20F temperature drop. Actual drop that you get depends from many factors: configuration of your space -more open spaces achieve less drop while spaces with hard top roof and one or more sides closed can achieve bigger drop, air temperature -hotter days can evaporate more water and thus you can get a bigger drop, humidity levels -the higher the humidity the less capacity in air to absorb water. So on a 105F day with 30% humidity, and a patio with hard top roof and two closed sides, you can comfortably get a 20F drop.
While misting systems are most efficient at cooling hot & dry outdoor spaces, they can also be beneficial in warm & humid areas. In a more humid weather, misting systems may be less effective due to reduced evaporation rates, but they can still achieve some degree of cooling and bring temperature relief. In addition, our pumps can modulate misting and be configured to put out only the amount of mist that the air can absorb, thus preventing any water collecting on surfaces from excess mist.
We only recommend using aerMist supplied pump oil. This oil has proper viscosity and properties to ensure pump longevity. We especially do not recommend using regular motor oil as incorrect viscosity can pass into cylinder and cause valves to fail. aerMist pumps come with a 16oz bottle of pump oil, sufficient for +5 oil fills.

We have installation services for the Dallas-Fort Worth area only at this time.
Fine sediment, calcium and other hard minerals present in water can cause nozzles to clog or drip. We recommend using upgraded water filter with phosphate calcium scale inhibitor insert to help reduce this problem. If you have very hard water, we recommend using a softener combined with a 5 micron rated filter or better.
If they clog or drip as result of hard water scale, they either need to be replaced or be cleaned. We have a descaler that can be used for cleaning. It is best to prevent hard water scale with additional filtration. Please follow this manual to learn how to clean aerMist high pressure nozzles.
Fine sediment and hard water scale found in most water municipalities causes clogged and dripping nozzles and are #1 cause for premature failure of misting pumps. We recommend installing an optional higher grade, 5 micron rated carbon activated water filter or better combined with phosphate scale inhibitor insert that can be found under shop/Accessories, Tools & Filtration to reduce problems caused by fine water sediment and scale. For very hard water we recommend using a portable water softener.
Our pumps and misting kits are shipped with a standard mesh water filter that filter out large particles which can damage internal pump parts. For municipalities with fine water sediment present, we recommend installing an optional higher grade, 5 micron rated carbon activated water filter or better with phosphate scale inhibitor that can be found under shop/Accessories, Tools & Filtration to reduce problems caused by fine water sediment and calcium scale.
Number of nozzles depend on the size and configuration of your space. Please use our misting configurator tool to figure out optimum number of nozzles for your space.

Our pumps require a standard 3/4 inch garden hose thread faucet connection with capacity to supply at least 1.5 GPM.
Model 300A is our highest capacity pump and is controllable via iOS/Android app as is our mid capacity pump model 150A. Both have ability to work on a programmed schedule and have a very fine control of misting modulation (interval mode operation and ability to run the system on a programmed 7 day 4 time interval schedule). Model 050SA is our smallest pump with half of the capacity as 150A and cannot be controlled via a mobile app (although it has a simple wireless remote). It has only 4 settings available for misting modulation.
Plastic tubing can easily be cut. Plastic tubing kits come with a plastic tubing cutting tool.
Stainless steel tubing can be cut with a pipe cutter. We recommend Ridgid 35S pipe cutter (can be ordered online). We can provide a detailed manual for measuring, cutting, and slotting stainless steel tubing.
Standard 3/4inch garden hose thread faucet operating from a standard city water pressure is sufficient. Both pumps can also be gravity fed with water and can operate with just the pressure created by water level (as low as 1 PSI).
Our pumps can operate at up to 1000 PSI.
Standard 15 amp GFCI outdoor rated outlet is required.
Yes, and for model 300A pump when pump is more than 15ft away from the misting line, you must use it for the high pressure supply line. You will need 3/8 to 1/4inch adapter to use with our 1/4inch tubing.
All of our pumps use very little water. As long as the line can supply 1.5GPM it is sufficient for all 3 pumps to operate. Standard 1/2in pipes are more than enough and even short runs of 1/4in lines can supply enough water.
The lifespan of a misting system can vary depending on how well it is maintained. On average, a well-maintained misting system can last for many years. Regular maintenance, such as oil replacement, winterization, flushing , de-scaling and preventing hard water damage, can help extend its life.
High pressure misting systems are designed to produce a fine mist, not a heavy spray, so you won’t get wet. The mist is very fine, and water evaporates before it has a chance to land on surfaces. Our systems have additional misting modulation control that enable you to adjust amount of mist in the air and prevent any water accumulation.
A high pressure misting system uses water pressure at up to 1000 psi, creating a fine mist that evaporates quickly and efficiently cools large areas.
A low pressure misting system uses lower water pressure, typically around 60-80 psi. These systems are less expensive but may not provide the same level of cooling and most of the time produce larger droplets of water, which means less evaporation and water accumulation on surfaces and people.
Absolutely! Misting systems are ideal for outdoor events, parties, and gatherings. They provide a refreshing cooling effect and can create a comfortable environment even during hot weather. They are also great for outdoor weddings, festivals, fairs, playgrounds, and sporting events, where they can be used to both reduce odors & dust, and control insects.
Yes! Misting systems can be installed in various outdoor spaces, including patios, decks, gardens, and even commercial settings like restaurants or outdoor events. They can be mounted on ceilings, walls, poles, or hanging cables depending on your space and preferences. They can also be added to outdoor rated fans to create misting fans.
Misting systems offer several benefits, including:
A misting system is a system that uses high pressure pumps and specialized nozzles to spray a fine mist of water into the air. This mist cools the surrounding area through flash evaporation, lowering the temperature and creating a more comfortable environment. Misting systems are commonly used for outdoor cooling, pest control, and odor control.
While primarily designed for outdoor use, high pressure misting systems can be used indoors in certain environments, such as greenhouses, where humidity and cooling are important. However, moisture buildup inside can damage property, so careful planning, installation, and use are necessary.
Yes, high pressure misting systems are generally safe to use when installed and used correctly. The mist produced is made of tiny water droplets, and the pressure is regulated to avoid excessive force. However, safety precautions should be followed, such as ensuring proper electrical wiring, using high quality components, and keeping the system properly maintained and used per specifications.
The cooling effect of our system can be noticeable within minutes, but it may take up to 30min to achieve maximum drop.
Yes, using hard water (water with a high mineral content) can cause mineral buildup in the pump and nozzles, affecting performance. It is the #1 cause of premature pump and nozzle failure. It is recommended to use filtered and softened water to avoid this issue and to keep the system running smoothly.
Yes, and if you have hard water, we absolutely recommend using softened water.
Yes, high pressure misting systems can help suppress dust in industrial settings, construction sites, or outdoor areas, improving air quality and making the environment more comfortable.
